Since 1937, the 36th Infantry Division Ceremonial Band has strived to meet a wide range of missions in support of the soldiers and citizens of Texas, and the United States. Perhaps the most visible of all ensembles within the organization, the 36th ID Ceremonial Band performs and supports both civilian and military events across Texas, and beyond. The 36th is a regular at state inauguration events, July 4th parades and fireworks shows such as Kaboomtown in Addison, the Armed Forces Bowl in Ft Worth, the Sun City Memorial Day celebration, and the Wurstfest Veteran’s salute. Elements of this unit have performed overseas, touring the Czech Republic, Italy, and Australia as part of Texas’s partner nation program, which now also includes Egypt.
