SPC Kristopher Crowder

Specialist Kris Crowder began his military career as a member of the 36th Infantry Division Band of the Texas Army National Guard, graduating from Basic Combat Training and The Army School of Music in 2006. Additionally, SPC Crowder is a graduate of the US Army UAV Raven course in Fort Benning, GA.
As a member of the 36th Infantry Division Band, SPC Crowder performs with the woodwind MPT, The Lone Star Winds, and serves as the principal French Horn in The Lone Star Band Concert Band. SPC Crowder has been activated with the 36th ID Band to serve the state of Texas numerous times, including Hurricane Ike and Harvey relief in 2008 and 2017, the 2020 Civil Disturbance mission with Task Force Alamo in San Antonio, Texas, Winter Weather Operations in 2021, and Operation Lone Star in 2022-2023.
SPC Crowder earned his bachelor’s degree in music education from Texas State University in 2012, and holds professional affiliations with the Texas Music Educators Association, Texas Bandmasters Association, and Association of Texas Small School Bands. SPC Crowder lives with his wife, Ashley, and three daughters, Clara, Hannah, and Gemma, in Tioga, TX.
