SSG Celia Hall

Staff Sergeant Celia Hall-Castro enlisted in the 36th ID Band in 2012 both to continue playing music and have a retirement plan. During her ten plus years of service, SSG Hall-Castro has performed both on clarinet and saxophone, and currently serves as the unit Drum Major. SSG Hall-Castro’s military education includes Basic Leader Course, where she earned Distinguished Honor Graduate, and the Advanced Leader Course at the Army School of Music. Outside of the military, SSG Hall-Castro works for Veterans Evaluation Services as a Quality Control Analyst Supervisor.
Staff Sergeant Hall-Castro holds a Bachelor of Music in Education from Oklahoma City University and a Master of Music in Clarinet Performance from Stephen F. Austin State University (Go Jacks!). Celia lives in Houston with her husband Nick and their perfect daughter Lily.
